Mod Podge Burlap Frame

So it's been a while since my last post! Yes, I have a confession to make...I am "blog challenged". I got frustrated trying to figure out how to bling my blog and fell off the bandwagon for a bit. I do admire those women out there who can keep up with blogging all the while washing clothes, preparing dinner, scrubbing floors, cleaning house, going to church, keeping up with kiddo schedules and working full time!
So on to my subject...I tried my hand at Mod-Podge for the first time a few months ago. I thought I would start with something fairly simple, so I chose this cute little picture frame. Since we moved here a year ago, my tastes have changed somewhat and I am gradually migrating away from too much rosy-posy here and there and going for a bit more Pottery Barn-ish nuetral look.
I just cut small remnants of burlap to size and then used one of my small paintbrushes on dab on the Mod Podge.

I coated the frame over where the rose pattern was, then also brushed the Mod Podge over the top of the burlap.

After it dried, it was just what I had in mind!

Farmhouse look and simplicity.
