So, up until February I had yet to make a mini-me hoodie. One of the teachers at the school where the hubby works, seen the gray and turquoise Diva hoodie I made another teacher, and requested one with zebra for her little one. This was definitely a fun one to make, allthough finding zebra print JERSEY material is like searching for a needle in a haystack! SERIOUSLY! I called every fabric store between here and Californ-I-A! Nada. Zip. Zilch. Yes, I found zebra cotton, zebra silk, zebra flannel and even pink or green zebra jersey fabric, but NO black and white zebra jersey! So, what did I do you say? Why, I bought about 5 X-tra large zebra print T-shirts and cut those suckers up. Bingo!
Well, what little girl gets an adorable zebra and turquoise hoodie with no bow or headband to match?! Not this one. :) I had such fun making even the matching headband for the little sweetie. To finish it off, I glued a big black and white polka dot button right in the center. ToO cUtE! I SO need a little girl....
